MBA this week releases its weekly Forbearance & Call Volume Survey this afternoon at 4:00 p.m. ET; and its Weekly Applications Survey on Wednesday, Apr. 21 (7:00 a.m. ET). Another busy week on Capitol Hill. The Senate Banking Committee holds a virtual hearing on Tuesday, Apr. 20 on An Economy that Works For Everyone: Investing in Rural Communities.

Witnesses include William J. (Bill) Bynum, Chief Executive Officer, HOPE (Hope Enterprise Corporation, Hope Credit Union, Hope Policy Institute); Stacy Mitchell, Co-Executive Director, Institute for Local Self-Reliance; Marcia Erickson, Chief Executive Officer, GROW South Dakota; Affie Ellis, Wyoming State Senator, District 8; and Kathleen Sgamma, President, Western Energy Alliance.

On Thursday, Apr. 22, the Banking Committee holds a hearing on “21st Century Communities: Capitalizing on Opportunities in the Clean Energy Economy.”

MBA Chief Economist Mike Fratantoni has a busy few weeks ahead. On Tuesday, Apr. 27, Fratantoni will participate in a virtual webinar sponsored by Sales Boomerang on “The Unforgiving Industry – What Can You Do to Catch the REFI & PURCHASE Double Wave.”

Joining Fratantoni will be Rob Chrisman, Capital Markets Consultant with Chrisman Inc.; and Alex Kutsishin, CEO of Sales Boomerang.
