The MBA Opens Doors Foundation announced it received $2.71 million in corporate and individual donations during its two-day FY 2021 fundraising campaign, which began on September 8.

Proceeds will support the Foundation’s mission of helping vulnerable families with critically ill or injured children stay in their homes while their child is in treatment.

During the two-day fundraising campaign, Opens Doors received $2.35 million in corporate pledges along with $363,000 in personal pledges, for a total commitment of $2,713,000 in support. Nine companies each pledged $100,000 or more in support of the foundation: CMG Financial, Quicken Loans, SWBC, Radian Guaranty, Arch MI, EPM, Freedom Mortgage, PennyMac Financial Services and PrimeLending. An additional 12 companies pledged between $50,000 and $75,000 in support.

“We launched our FY21 fundraising campaign with a simple but compelling theme: Strength, Compassion, Support,” said Debra W. Still, CMB, President and CEO of Pulte Mortgage, and Chairman of the Foundation’s Board of Directors. “And in keeping with this theme, champions in the real estate finance industry quickly stepped up and delivered on behalf of Opens Doors families. I am grateful for the outpouring of support – especially now, when families are struggling during these unprecedented times.”

Corporate and individual donors who commit to supporting the Foundation at the $25,000-or-more level before October 11, , will be recognized at MBA’s 2020 Virtual Annual Convention & Expo, October 19-21.

“We are off to a fantastic start for FY21, and I want to thank Opens Doors Chairman Deb Still, as well as our Opens Doors’ champions who are committed to our mission and our families,” said Deborah Dubois, President of the MBA Opens Doors Foundation. “In addition to the record-setting donations, the most inspiring part of our FY21 campaign was the personal pledges and expressions of support and confidence in our work. This commitment reflects the industry’s long-standing value of giving back to the communities in which we all live and work.”
