MBA’s Kelli Burke Named #NEXTPowerhouseAwards Winner

Kelli Burke, MBA Vice President of Commercial Real Estate Finance, has been named an award recipient of the #NEXTPowerhouseAwards, presented by NEXT Mortgage Events & News. She will be recognized at #NEXTSUMMER20, the group’s first virtual executive summit, taking place August 23-25.

“Kelli is a core member of MBA’s commercial-multifamily team, and her background, deep industry knowledge, and execution help her effectively engage with and advocate on behalf of our members,” said Mike Flood, MBA Senior Vice President of Commercial/Multifamily Policy and Member Engagement. “I can think of nobody more deserving of this recognition and am confident she will continue to deliver substantive results for our members.”

In her current role, Burke develops and executes MBA’s CREF member engagement strategy across various sectors within commercial real estate finance and serves as a staff expert on several business functions, including originations, underwriting, securitization, servicing and asset management.

Burke has more than two decades of experience in commercial real estate and hospitality. She previously worked for 11 years in expanding roles with Prudential Mortgage Capital Co. LLC, including as Vice President of Information Systems, where she partnered closely with the commercial servicing business of the company. Burke also spent seven years in commercial servicing with GMAC Commercial Mortgage, a predecessor company of Berkadia, in Atlanta.

Burke holds a Masters Certificate in applied project management from Villanova University; a Bachelor of Science from the University of Phoenix in Dallas; and an Associate of Science in culinary arts from the Art Institute of California.

In its first year, #NEXTPowerhouseAwards aims to highlight women in the industry who serve as a cornerstone for discovering new ideas, and ways to advance their companies.
