Promontory MortgagePath Names Elisha Werner Chief Compliance Officer

Elisha Werner

Promontory MortgagePath LLC, Danbury, Conn., hired Elisha Werner as chief compliance officer for mortgage operations. She will lead compliance efforts for the company’s residential mortgage operations and oversee the regulatory and compliance implementation process including contributing to and testing the company’s compliance controls and digital mortgage origination technology. In addition, she will support development, implementation and ongoing performance of the company’s compliance management system.

With more than 20 years’ experience in mortgage-industry compliance, Werner has served as general counsel of a title company, chief compliance officer of a mortgage banker and most recently as chief compliance counsel for Opus Capital Markets Consultants. In these roles, she managed all aspects of compliance oversight for operations, loan file due diligence and quality control.

Michele Bradford

Orlans PC Expands into Pennsylvania, Florida

Orlans PC, Troy, Mich., expaned its default servicing practice to Pennsylvania and Florida.

Michele Bradford will serve as Managing Attorney for Pennsylvania, bringing more than 26 years of default servicing knowledge and litigation expertise. She began her law practice in mortgage foreclosure with Federman and Phelan LLP in 1994. She managed the Pennsylvania practice as a Partner at Phelan Hallinan Diamond & Jones, LLP from 2001-2020.

Heather Griffiths

Heather Griffiths will serve as Managing Attorney for Florida, bringing nearly 10 years of experience managing firm administration and default servicing operations. She began her career as a Litigation Attorney and most recently managed the Florida operations for Phelan Hallinan Diamond & Jones PLLC. She is a member of the Real Property, Probate and Trust Law Division of the Florida Bar and is admitted to practice in all three Federal Bankruptcy Courts in Florida.

Julia Keys

Julia Keys joins Orlans PC as Director of Client Services with more than 20 years of legal default operations, attorney oversight and client relations experience. Her collaboration efforts with law firm partners, mortgage servicers and lending institutions have included performance strategy, regulatory compliance, process improvement and loss mitigation resolution. She previously worked in vendor management at Ocwen Financial and most recently served as Director of Client Services for Phelan Hallinan Diamond & Jones PLLC.

Malvina Iannone

Arbor Appoints Malvina Iannone as EVP, General Counsel

Arbor Realty Trust Inc., Uniondale, N.Y., appointed Malvina Iannone as Executive Vice President and General Counsel, responsible for all of Arbor’s corporate legal activities, including providing appropriate legal support on all corporate matters, M&A and related transactions, capital market activity, treasury functions, human resources, marketing, information technology, litigation and all other regulatory issues.

Prior to joining Arbor, Iannone most recently served as Executive Counsel of Global Legal Shares Services with General Electric Company. Before that, she practiced M&A and securities law with White & Case LLP.

Stewart Title Insurance Hires Paul Bugoni as VP/Senior Agency Counsel

Stewart Title Insurance Co., Houston, hired Paul Bugoni as Senior Agency Counsel and Vice President, responsible for managing agent underwriting questions and issues, as well as solidifying and expanding Stewart’s agency relationships across the state.

Bugoni held positions as in-house counsel for various title underwriters and has extensive experience in both real estate litigation and transactional work. He previously worked for Stewart from 2014-2018.

ATTOM Hires Stuart Bern as Head of Strategic Partnerships/Corporate Development

ATTOM, Irvine, Calif., hired Stuart Bern as head of strategic partnerships & corporate development, responsible for leading development of new partnerships and support M&A efforts.

Prior to joining ATTOM, Bern was the vice president of business development and partnerships at Knock, where he served on the senior leadership team and actively managed and vetted a pipeline of prospective long-term partners across a wide range of organizational sizes, types and use cases. He led similar teams during his tenure at CoStar Group and Bloomberg LP.
