JLL Promotes Kevin Davis to Lead Debt Capital Markets
JLL Hotels & Hospitality Group, New York named Kevin Davis a Senior Managing Director of the firm’s Americas Hotels & Hospitality Group. He will head the debt capital markets efforts for the Americas business and collaboration between the firm’s Hotels & Hospitality business and JLL’s Capital Markets Group, specifically the loan sales and financing teams.
Davis will continue working closely with the lending community, including banks, life insurance companies, debt funds, mezzanine providers and CMBS lenders, as well as institutional owners of commercial real estate within the hotels and hospitality business. He will also continue working closely with the investment sales teams across North America, Latin America and the Caribbean.
Since joining JLL in 2013, Davis has been involved in excess of $20 billion of financings ranging from ground-up construction projects to stabilized properties. He recently won the Jack A. Shaffer Financial Advisor of the Year Award at the American Lodging Investment Summit, which honors industry leaders that showcase outstanding ability to foster client relationships and close deals that benefit both parties in a transaction. With immense experience in leading high-profile transactions, Davis has coordinated financings, including the JW Marriott Essex House, the Standard High Line, the One Hotel Central Park, Loews Regency San Francisco, Boca Raton Resort & Club, the Walt Disney World Swan & Dolphin, Turtle Bay Resort and the Ritz Carlton St. Thomas.
Prior to joining JLL, Davis spent nearly a decade as a lender with Merrill Lynch and UBS, where he was involved in sourcing and executing more than $7 billion of first mortgage and mezzanine financings for securitization and balance sheets. He also spent three years as a partner and co-founder of FundCore Finance.
BlackFin Group Taps Noel Stack as EVP of Strategic Alliances
BlackFin Group, Laguna Hills, Calif., named Noel Stack EVP of Strategic Alliances, responsible for partnering and developing relationships with financial services clients nationwide. He will also be responsible for building a team of Strategic Alliance team members around him allowing BlackFin Group to help more clients nationwide.
Prior to BlackFin Group, Stack served as a Senior Strategic Partner Account Executive and National Sales Executive with Wolters Kluwer Financial Services, PCi Corp. and IBM.
BSI Financial Names John Lawrence President of Servicing/Lender Operations; Larry Goldstone President of Capital Markets/Lending
BSI Financial Services, Irving, Texas, promoted Larry Goldstone to president of capital markets and lending and John Lawrence to president of servicing and lender services.
A 20-year veteran of the mortgage industry, Lawrence previously served as BSI’s executive vice president and chief servicing officer, where he led the company’s Entra, ESPL and quality control groups. In his new role, he will be responsible for overall profitability and operations of the company’s servicing and lender services businesses. Prior to joining the company, he held senior executive positions with PIMCO, PennyMac, Wells Fargo and IndyMac Bank.
Goldstone previously led BSI’s mortgage servicing rights strategy as executive vice president of capital markets. Over the past six years, he helped grow BSI into one of the top 10 buyers of flow mortgage servicing rights and developed a new retention/refinance group for the company. Prior to joining BSI, Goldstone was founder and CEO of Aventur Partners, a business consulting and investment advisory firm. He was also the co-founder, CEO and president of Thornburg Mortgage.
LenderClose Adds Five to Sales, Marketing Teams
LenderClose, Des Moines, Ioway added Sales Vice President Chris Meade, Relationship Manager Sarah Bond, Sales Executive Sarah Porter, Marketing Communications Specialist Kristin Walters and Relationship Manager Max Zaug to its team.
Meade brings more than a decade of experience to LenderClose, including IT recruiting and account management. Most recently, he was manager of branch sales for AVID Technical Resources. He also worked for IP Pathways.
Bond joins LenderClose with more than a decade of sales leadership and account management experience, primarily with technology companies, such as Dwolla, Genesis10 and most recently, IP Pathways. There she performed successful contract negotiations through development of strategic IT roadmaps to support existing and future back-end infrastructure and cloud initiatives.
Porter most recently held a marketing and sales manager position with State Farm. Prior to that she held a position as strategy consultant with Packback before being promoted to program manager and event coordinator for the AI-supported student online discussion platform.
Joining LenderClose as a recent graduate of Coe College in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Walters earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration and public relations with a concentration in marketing and minor in art. She completed several marketing internships during her time at Coe, including a position with Cedar Rapids Bank & Trust where she gained experience in creating campaign content and graphics and conducting market research and trends for the community bank. Additionally, Walters supported the Cedar Rapids community through her work with non-profit organizations and leadership roles within campus groups.
Zaug joins LenderClose from Marco Technologies where he was a technology advisor. In that role, he strategized with the executive-level to help identify, control and analyze key technological costs. He also worked closely with clients on developing five-year plans for IT projects such infrastructure as a service, software as a service, voice as a service, cloud storage and data migrations.
BoomTown Names Mark Stewart CTO; George Mountis VP of Product
BoomTown, Charleston, S.C. promoted Mark Stewart to Chief Technology Officer and George Mountis to Vice President of Product.
Stewart has worked with BoomTown since 2017; previously he held management positions with Bullhorn, Interthinx, Jacobson Staffing and The Advantage Group of St. Louis.
Mountis has been with BoomTown since 2013; previously, he held management positions with ReachLocal, CrownPeak Technology, Sprout Interactive and WebMD.
