Debora Aydelotte, Louann Bernstone Join Promontory MortgagePath Leadership Team

Debora Aydelotte

Promontory MortgagePath, Denver, named Louann Bernstone and Debora Aydelotte managing directors with responsibility for Vendor Management and Client Strategy, respectively. They will help drive Promontory MortgagePath’s mission to deliver tech-enabled mortgage fulfillment services.

Aydelotte had held leadership roles in mortgage banking and financial services companies, from industry leading banks and financial services firms to start-up financial technology companies. She joins Promontory MortgagePath from ComputerShare, where she was CEO for mortgage fulfillment business integration. Earlier in her career with ComputerShare, she was chief operating officer for Credit Risk Solutions.

Louann Bernstone

Bernstone brings extensive experience in technology, enterprise vendor management and risk management. In nine years with Bank of America, she rose through the executive ranks to become senior vice president for vendor management and subsequently, business control executive. She went on to serve as senior vice president for risk compliance and governance with Hope LoanPort, Most recently, she was head of risk and compliance for FormFree.

Chris Olsen Joins OpenClose as Vice President of Sales Engineering

OpenClose, West Palm Beach Fla., hired Chris Olsen to help further expand its sales department as vice president of sales engineering. He will provide software support for OpenClose sales executives catering to mortgage bankers, credit unions, community banks and other real estate entities.

Olsen comes to OpenClose from Ellie Mae, where he was a senior technical sales engineer managing enterprise LOS pre and post sales engagements for their core as well as add-on services. Prior to joining Ellie Mae, he was a project manager and AVP with JP Morgan Chase. Previous to that, he was a senior software developer and partner with ClosersEdge.

FHFA Adds Jonathan McKernan as Senior Counsel, ‘Raffi’ Williams as Press Secretary

The Federal Housing Finance Agency added Jonathan McKernan as Senior Counsel for Policy and Raphael “Raffi” Williams as Press Secretary and Senior Communications Advisor.

McKernan comes to FHFA from the Department of the Treasury, where he played a pivotal role in development of the Treasury Housing Reform Plan released in September.  Prior to Treasury, he advised Sen. Bob Corker, R-Tenn., on housing finance reform and financial services issues. McKernan also brings 10 years of experience as a banking lawyer, most recently as counsel with Wilmer Cutler Pickering Hale and Dorr LLP. 

Williams joins FHFA from HUD, where he was Deputy Assistant Secretary in the Office of Public Affairs. Prior communications experience includes Capitol Hill leadership, a national campaign committee and broadcast companies.

Mortgage Network Hires Sandra Knowlton, Lisa Anderson as Processing Managers

Mortgage Network Inc., Danvers, Mass., hired Sandra Knowlton as processing manager in the company’s Danvers headquarters and Lisa Anderson as processing manager in the Salem, N.H., office.

Knowlton has more than 20 years of experience in the mortgage finance industry and comes to Mortgage Network from Residential Mortgage Services, where she managed the company’s construction renovation department. She previously held leadership roles with Newburyport Five Cents Savings Bank, where she served as a residential loan processing supervisor; and at Wells Fargo as a home mortgage consultant.

Lisa Anderson

Anderson has more than 20 years of experience in management in the finance industry, with extensive expertise in consumer and mortgage underwriting, loan processing, loan servicing and secondary market requirements. She has held leadership roles with several market leading banks and credit unions in the New Hampshire and Massachusetts markets. Most recently, she was the mortgage operations manager with Holy Rosary Credit Union.

Robin Belanger, Amie McCarthy Join NTC’s Executive Team

Robin Belanger

Nationwide Title Clearing Inc. Palm Harbor, Fla., hired Robin Belanger as Vice President, focused on enhancing NTC’s offering in the document certification, custody and capital markets area of the industry.

Belanger joins NTC with more than 20 years of experience in the mortgage banking industry. For the past 10 years, Belanger worked for Fannie Mae in multiple positions. She started as the manager of Multifamily Certification and Custody Operations and became Director of Multifamily Acquisitions. She spent the past five years as a Director of Governance, where she was responsible for oversight of Fannie Mae’s 25 Document Custodians and strategic initiatives. Before Belanger’s work at Fannie Mae, she worked as a Senior Vice President at Wachovia Bank, where she was responsible for the operations of Wachovia’s Document Custody and Warehouse Lending Administration businesses within the Corporate Trust Division. She a past Vice-Chair and Chair within the Mortgage Bankers Association’s document custody group and has presented at many MBA document custody conferences.

Amie McCarthy

NTC also hired Amie McCarthy as Vice President of Business Development for Capital Markets. She has more than 25 years of experience in mortgage finance, structured products and banking. 

Prior to joining NTC, McCarthy was with Grant Thornton, where she focused on banking and regulatory projects. Following the credit crisis, McCarthy joined a GSE, and worked to implement the Making Home Affordable Program and mitigate delinquencies in first loss position securities. She also worked for the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau in regulatory implementation, to promote industry comprehension and compliance. In her early career, she worked for national loan servicers and regional banks. She was a loan officer and underwriter for auto loans, small business loans, and mortgages.
