Drop in Mortgage Applications Proves Just How Rate-Sensitive Today’s Borrowers Are

Mortgage application volume decreased 3 percent last week from the previous week, the Mortgage Bankers Association said. The average contract interest rate for 30-year fixed-rate mortgages nudged higher to 4.76 percent from 4.75 percent.
