Call for Speakers: MBA Condominium Lending Workshop

The Mortgage Bankers Association’s Condominium Workshop takes place July 18 in Washington, D.C. Speaking opportunities are available; deadline is May 17.

This host a one-day workshop on focuses on the market for condominium lending. While demand for all types of housing will be increasing over the next decade, condominium ownership can play a key role in providing first-time home buying opportunities and affordable alternatives to single-family ownership in cities, as well as down-sizing opportunities for aging Baby Boomers.

Can the supply of condo finance keep pace? In this workshop, we will hear from lending and legal experts as well as key individuals from FHA and the GSEs on the opportunities and challenges of condo lending.

Panel topics include:

–GSE and Lender Perspectives on Project Approvals
–Overview of Condo Markets
–Condo Litigation Challenges
–Lending on New Construction Condos
