Peter J. Taglia, CMB, Presented with CMB Society’s Rosser Lifetime Achievement Award
WASHINGTON, D.C.–The Certified Mortgage Bankers Society presented Peter J. Taglia, CMB, Senior Vice President of FTN Financial Capital Assets Corp., Memphis, Tenn., with its E. Michael Rosser, CMB, MBA Education Lifetime Achievement Award.
“Pete’s years of dedication and educational leadership in real estate finance have benefited an endless number of mortgage professionals,” said Rachel Dollar, CMB, 2018 Society Chair. “Pete was an instructor when I attended the School of Mortgage Banking where he unraveled the mysteries of Secondary Marketing. We confer this award in recognition of his contribution to the success of our industry’s talented and diverse workforce.”
Taglia has more than 40 years of mortgage banking experience; is a faculty Fellow for MBA Education; and received the Master Faculty Award in 1998. He is also instrumental in development of the School of Mortgage Banking (SOMB) curriculum, MBA Education’s premier classroom training program.
Taglia is Senior Vice President of FTN Financial Capital Assets Corp., a subsidiary of First Tennessee Bank, concentrating on loan sale/securitization strategies, asset-backed structuring and portfolio analysis. His duties include client support for mortgage banking issues, with an emphasis on hedging and risk management. Previously, he was division manager of the Home Loan Center for Northern Trust Co., Chicago, where he was responsible for all mortgage operations.
The E. Michael Rosser MBA Education Lifetime Achievement Award is presented to mortgage professional who has shown outstanding service to the Association, Certified Mortgage Bankers Society and the real estate finance industry.
