Mortgage Action Alliance Seeks Nominees for 3 Steering Committee Seats

The Mortgage Action Alliance, the grassroots advocacy arm of the Mortgage Bankers Association is accepting nominations to fill three at-large seats on its 2019-2020 Steering Committee. Applications will be accepted through Dec. 3.  

MAA is governed by a nine-member Steering Committee. The committee is responsible for assisting in formulation, implementation and execution of the Alliance’s grassroots activities in furtherance of MBA’s advocacy agenda. Members of the committee take part in completing outreach to peers to become active in MAA and encourage them to attend the annual National Advocacy Conference. Steering Committee members also help identify and execute MAA enrollment campaigns and promote active involvement on calls to action.  

Seats on the MAA Steering Committee are open to all active MAA members. Current at-large members of the MAA Steering Committee for 2017-2018 terms are Chad Church, New American Funding; Tonya Ellis, Crescent Mortgage; and Barbara Mallott, Envoy Mortgage.  

MAA elections will take place on the following schedule:

–Nomination Period: November 26-December 3

–Candidates Announced: December 4

–Online Voting: December 4-11

–Announcement of New Members: December 13
