MISMO Winter Summit in Clearwater, Fla. Jan. 7-11

The MISMO Winter Summit takes place Jan. 7-11 in Clearwater, Fla.

Standards developed by the Mortgage Industry Standards Maintenance Organization (MISMO) have never been more important to our industry. Recent changes have resulted in a dramatic increase in demand for data and information exchanges. Everyone has new business partners with whom they need to exchange information. Regulatory demands have and will continue to significantly impact the way we transact business. In order to effectively communicate, we all need to be speaking the same “language.”

That’s where MISMO comes in. MISMO Summits offer you an opportunity to learn more about MISMO and to engage in face-to-face standard setting activities. Educational sessions are designed to meet the needs of everyone from those new to MISMO, to those with years of experience. Come meet the industry experts. Sit down and participate in the industry work group sessions where the standards are being set.

MISMO needs your support in these efforts to help us make the right business and technical decisions as we work together to evolve the industry standards.

MISMO® is the standards development body for the mortgage industry. MISMO developed a common language for exchanging information for the mortgage finance industry. Today, MISMO standards are accepted and deployed by every type of entity involved in creating mortgages, and they are required by most regulators, housing agencies and the GSEs that participate in the industry. Use of MISMO’s standards has been found to lower per loan costs, improve margins, reduce errors and speed up the loan process by reducing manual, paper-based processes while creating cost savings for the consumer. MISMO is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Mortgage Bankers Association. For more information, visit www.mismo.org.
