MBA Honors Julie Piepho, CMB, AMP with Woodward Distinguished Service Award
DENVER–The Mortgage Bankers Association honored Julie Piepho, CMB, AMP, President of National Operations with Cornerstone Home Lending Inc. with its Andrew D. Woodward Distinguished Service Award.
The award is presented in recognition of dedication and prominent service to MBA and the mortgage lending industry in a variety of capacities involving both legislative and regulatory activities. Piepho received the award in a ceremony held here at the MBA Annual Convention & Expo.
“Julie has more than three decades of experience managing several mortgage bank divisions and holding executive positions for two prominent mortgage banks, but it’s her exemplary service to the industry as a whole, both in Colorado and nationwide, for which we honor her today,” said MBA Chairman Dave Motley, CMB. “Julie has led some of the most important institutions within MBA and been a tireless advocate for our state ambassador effort, MAA, and MORPAC. It is a real pleasure that we are able to honor Julie’s contributions to real estate finance in her home state.”
Piepho is a past chairman of MBA’s Residential Board of Governors, is currently a member of MBA’s Investment Committee and State Ambassador Committee. She is past chairman of the Colorado Board of Mortgage Loan Originators, a six-year term gubernatorial appointment. She is also past chairman of the Colorado Mortgage Lenders Association.
In July, Piepho was honored as a Woman of Vision by the Northern Colorado Women of Influence. She has also been honored by the Northern Colorado Business Report as a Woman of Distinction. She is a recipient of the MBA Schumacher-Bolduc Award for service to MORPAC and the Colorado Mortgage Lenders Association’s E. Michael Rosser Lifetime Achievement Award.
The Woodward Distinguished Service Award is the highest honor an individual can receive from his or her fellow MBA members. Nominees for the annual award must meet the following criteria:
–Be associated with an MBA member firm;
–Compile a record of long, sustained and extraordinary service to MBA and the mortgage industry;
–Have a strong reputation for ethical and professional conduct.
