MBANow: MBA’s Ken Markison Preview MBA Legal Issues Conference

The Mortgage Bankers Association released a new MBANow video on YouTube featuring MBA Vice President and Regulatory Counsel Ken Markison, who offers a preview of the upcoming MBA Legal Issues and Regulatory Compliance in Miami May 7-10.

“We’re in a very different political landscape,” Markison said. “We want our members to have information on the latest cases, the latest regulations and the latest enforcement actions. We also want to talk about the new Administration; we want to take a critical look at what this presidency might mean to our industry and what, specifically, we have seen so far to give us a roadmap that might be coming ahead.”

Markison said discussion will focus on the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau and how it might change.

“Because the landscape has changed so much-so much more than expected-the interchange with speakers as to those implications can help you reset your expectations and how you can help your company,” Markison said.
