MBA CEO Stevens to Testify Today on GSE Reform

Mortgage Bankers Association President David Stevens, CMB, testifies this morning before the Senate Banking Committee.

The hearing, Principles of Housing Reform, takes place Thursday, begins at 10:00 a.m. ET in 538 Dirksen Senate Office Building.

Committee Chairman Mike Crapo, R-Idaho, and Ranking Member Mark Warner, D-Va., invited Stevens to discuss MBA’s recently published White Paper, GSE Reform: Creating a Sustainable, More Vibrant Secondary Mortgage Market (https://www.mba.org/issues/gse-reform) and other housing reform issues.

Also slated to testify: former Federal Housing Finance Agency Director Edward DeMarco, now President of the Housing Policy Council of the Financial Services Roundtable; and Michael Calhoun, President of the Center for Responsible Lending.
