MBA Education Mortgage Lending & Summary of GSE Risk Share Opportunities Webinar July 18
MBA Education presents a webinar, Mortgage Lending & Summary of GSE Risk Share Opportunities, on July 18 from 2:00-3:30 p.m. ET.
Since entering conservatorship, the Federal Housing Finance Agency has mandated that Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac reduce risk exposure to taxpayers generated by GSE credit risk guarantees by transferring this credit risk to the private sector. In response to this mandate, the GSEs have begun a series of risk-sharing initiatives to facilitate private capital stepping in to take the risk exposure.
This webinar will provide an overview of the GSE risk-sharing activities to-date, discuss recent structures and evaluate the performance of certain aspects of the transactions from a lender’s perspective.
