Mortgage Rates Plummet to Three-Year Lows

Mortgage rates were predicted to rise this year, but every time they start to wander higher, something causes them to retreat. “Conventional refinance application activity picked up slightly due to the rate drop, but purchase activity dropped sufficiently to cause an overall drop in mortgage application volume for the week,” said Mike Fratantoni, MBA chief economist.
