
MBA Appoints Alley, Matthews, Rivkin to MISMO Board of Directors
The Mortgage Bankers Association appointed Nancy Alley, Sharon Matthews, and Ken Rivkin to the MISMO Board of Directors.
MBA also appointed Bill Beckmann and Josh Weinberg, as chairman and vice chairman of the MISMO Board of Directors, respectively.
MBA is the parent corporation of MISMO. The MISMO Board of Directors represents a cross-section of the real estate finance industry that manages and directs MISMO’s business and affairs. The MISMO board consists of representatives from the residential and commercial mortgage industry who serve for staggered two-year terms.
“Nancy, Sharon and Ken are accomplished executives and will provide perspective and guidance to help MISMO meet the current and future needs of the industry,” said MBA President and CEO David Stevens, CMB. “I congratulate them on their appointments and look forward to their continued contributions to MISMO. In its most recent scorecard, the Federal Housing Finance Agency pledged active support for mortgage data standardization initiatives, including MISMO. The technology used to serve customers in housing finance continues to evolve and MISMO will play an increasing role in solving business and operational problems.”
The new appointees replace Steve Gozdan, Joanne Denver and Tom Fink, who will step down from the MISMO Board of Directors.

Nancy Alley is Vice President of Strategic Planning with Simplifile, Provo, Utah, where she brings more than 25 years of financial services and mortgage industry experience to her role. She has dedicated her career to driving innovation and leveraging technology in the mortgage industry. She is actively involved in driving adoption of industry standards. She served as a Co-Chair of the MISMO eMortgage workgroup for several years. Prior to joining Simplifile, she led the product strategy for ISGN.
Alley brings an extensive knowledge of cloud-based offerings through her experience running Xerox Mortgage Services, provider of the BlitzDocs intelligent collaborative network. She also led product management and engineering efforts of eSignSystems, an eSign and eVaulting provider, and spent eight years at GE Capital Corp. evolving her product management and business development skills in mortgage banking technology. A noted industry thought leader, Alley was recognized as a “Woman of Influence” by HousingWire Magazine and a “Tech All-Star” by Mortgage Banking magazine in 2012 and was awarded the Mortgage Technology “Steve Fraser Visionary Award” in 2011. Alley holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University Of Michigan Ross School Of Business.
Sharon Matthews is President and Chief Executive Officer of eLynx, Cincinnati, an SaaS provider of on-demand data and document collaboration services for the mortgage industry. During her eight years at the helm, eLynx has come out stronger through the financial crisis, led the charge toward industry standard, and expanded its solution footprint into pre- and post-close. She previously held roles with Solectron, Blackhog and United Customer Management Solutions. She has been recognized by HousingWire as an inaugural Vanguard Award winner for her leadership in the mortgage industry.
She has also appeared on its annual Influential Women in Housing list. As Chair of the Board for City Year San Jose/Silicon Valley, Sharon is strongly invested in the future of our next great leaders. She works with fellow mentors and schools to improve education standards and graduation rates for today’s at-risk youth.
Ken Rivkin is Global Head of Commercial Real Estate with Ten-X (formerly Auction.com), an on-line marketplace for real estate. Prior to joining Ten-X in 2009 and for more than 25 years, he held senior mortgage roles in commercial real estate originations, structuring and trading/distribution with Bank of America, Credit Suisse and their predecessors. He started his career in real estate finance as a bank construction lender. He was graduated from Brown University and MIT Sloan School, and was a NATO CCMS Fellow. He served on the board of National Cooperative Bank for the past six years and is currently on the Board of Governors of CRE Finance Council and MISMO Commercial Governance Committee.
