
MBA’s Walsh Honored as ‘Women of Influence’
Marina Walsh, Vice President of Industry Analysis with the Mortgage Bankers Association’s research and economics department, was honored as one of HousingWire’s 2016 Women of Influence.
This list recognizes 43 women who have made an “outstanding impact” on the mortgage industry as a whole. Walsh currently leads several ad hoc surveys and programs with MBA, focusing on industry benchmarking and servicing.
“Marina is a highly sought-after speaker at major industry events and a key source of data and analysis for mortgage executives across the industry,” said MBA Chief Economist Mike Fratantoni. “She leads a team of highly skilled analysts at MBA who focus their efforts on benchmarking programs and the servicing side of the industry.”

Walsh has worked in real estate finance for more than 17 years. Prior to joining MBA, she was a manager in Ernst and Young’s Real Estate Advisory Services Group; where she focused on federal credit program design, implementation and performance measurement. Walsh holds a bachelor’s degree from Cornell University and a Master of Public Administration degree from Columbia University.
