MBA Education Developments in Federal Wage and Hour Law Webinar Aug. 18

MBA Education presents a webinar, Developments in Federal Wage and Hour Law, on Thursday, Aug. 18 from 2:00-3:30 p.m. ET.

One of the fastest-growing sources of complaints and lawsuits facing employers relates to application of federal wage and hour rules under the federal Fair Labor Standards Act. This law is not new, but continues to be one of the most perplexing set of rules to accurately apply in virtually all industries. FLSA governs payment of overtime compensation, and more importantly for purposes of this discussion, circumstances where payment of overtime compensation is not required.

The Department of Labor is in the process of significant changes to the exemption rules that it estimates will cause more than 4.5 million employees to become overtime eligible. This 60-minute webinar will cover exemptions and rules regarding employee classification in order to avoid adding to statistics regarding lawsuits in this area.
