MBA Honors Arrigoni with Woodward Distinguished Service Award
SAN DIEGO–The Mortgage Bankers Association honored Dan Arrigoni, former president of U.S. Bank Home Mortgage, with its Andrew D. Woodward Distinguished Service Award.
The award is presented in recognition of dedication and prominent service to MBA and the mortgage lending industry in a variety of capacities involving both legislative and regulatory activities. Arrigoni was presented the award in a ceremony held here at the MBA 102nd Annual Convention & Expo.
“Dan Arrigoni has been an active member of MBA for more than 20 years,” said MBA Chairman Bill Emerson. “He’s taken the lead in tackling some of the hottest issues for our industry by serving on MBA’s Board of Directors, RESBOG, Executive Roundtable, FHA Executive Task Force, RESPA at the Ready Working Group and so much more. Personally, I know him as my friend and colleague.”
The Distinguished Service Award is the highest honor an individual can receive from his or her fellow MBA members.
Nominees for the annual award must meet the following criteria:
–Be associated with an MBA member firm;
–Compile a record of long, sustained and extraordinary service to MBA and the mortgage industry
–Have a strong reputation for ethical and professional conduct.
The award was recently renamed to honor of former MBA chairman, the late Andy Woodward, who set an extraordinary example for his leadership abilities, especially with his involvement in the Council to Shape Change Report.
Arrigoni served as president and CEO of U.S. Bank Home Mortgage, a division of U.S. Bancorp, until June 2013. He previously served as an executive vice president of Investors Bank Corp./MN and its subsidiary. He has been an independent director of MGIC Investment Corp. since 2013 and Forsythe Appraisals LLC since 2013.
