Jay Leno is one of the most recognizable faces in America. He achieved success as a stand-up comic in the mid-1970s and parlayed that success into guest host stints with the Tonight Show with Johnny Carson, succeeding Carson as host in 1992. Leno retired from the Tonight Show in 2014 but continues to maintain an active stand-up schedule. Leno has been married to wife Mavis Nicholson since 1980. They live in Los Angeles, where he spends his spare time working on his collection of classic cars and motorcycles.
Gen. Colin Powell has served his country in numerous capacities, joining the U.S. Army as a second lieutenant in 1958. He served in Vietnam, where he was wounded and received the Purple Heart and the Bronze Star; all told, he received 11 military decorations. He later served as a military advisor during the Reagan and Bush Administrations, becoming the first African American to ever chair the Joint Chiefs of Staff; he also served as Secretary of Defense in the Bush Administration. A best-selling author, Gen. Powell continues to maintain a high profile as a sought-after speaker and analyst.
