MBA Recognizes Brown, Placek with Willis Bryant Award
MBA Education, the education division of the Mortgage Bankers Association, presented Susan Brown of Umpqua Bank and Carol Placek of the Federal Housing Finance Agency with the Wills Bryant Award for their achievements in MBA Education’s School of Mortgage Banking.
“We congratulate Susan Brown and Carol Placek for their achievements and we are pleased to honor their accomplishments with this award,” said Jeffrey Schummer, MBA vice president of education development. “The Willis Bryant Award is offered only when a student passes all three of MBA’s rigorous School of Mortgage Banking courses with outstanding marks on their tests throughout. In addition, we look for candidates who demonstrate a strong commitment to educating the consumer.”
At each session of MBA Education’s SOMB Course III, students graduate and earn the Accredited Mortgage Professional designation to signify their achievement. The Willis Bryant Award recognizes outstanding academic achievement in the three courses of SOMB and is awarded to the top student graduate at each offering of SOMB Course III. To qualify, a student must achieve a grade of “excellent” on all SOMB exams and demonstrate exceptional leadership qualities in both the classroom and when interacting with other students.
