Sean Sievers Appointed Merchants Bancorp CFO

Sean Sievers has joined Merchants Bancorp, Carmel, Ind., and its wholly owned subsidiary, Merchants Bank, as Chief Financial Officer, effective Sept. 9.

He has more than 25 years of executive financial leadership experience in the banking and mortgage industries. Sievers was most recently CFO at Rate (formerly Guaranteed Rate).

Sievers has also held the following roles: CFO of Countrywide’s Internet Bank and Retail Origination team, Senior Director at Freddie Mac, CFO of SunTrust’s Consumer Banking Division and CFO of Citibank’s Global Mortgage Business.

Sievers succeeds John Macke, who announced his intent to retire in March.

CBRE Announces Personnel Changes

CBRE, Dallas, appointed Bryan Johnson as Americas Healthcare Leader for its Advisory & Transaction Services line of business.

He will lead CBRE’s healthcare growth and client service strategy.

Johnson worked for CBRE previously, as a leader in its GWS Healthcare Solutions group, but most recently served as Executive Managing Director and Market Leader for Collier’s North Carolina.

Additionally, CBRE announced that Ian Pemberton has joined the firm’s Investment Banking team as a Senior Managing Director, focused on the affordable housing sector.

Pemberton has nearly two decades of experience in financial services. He was most recently with KPMG Corporate Finance, where he was Managing Director and Group Head of the Real Estate practice. He has also worked for M&T Investment Banking Group as Managing Director.

JLL Adds Gul Dusi to Project and Development Services Role

JLL, Chicago, announced Gul Dusi as the National Life Sciences Industry Lead for Project and Development Services for the Americas Markets.

Dusi has more than two decades of experience in the industry.

She will oversee capital projects for life sciences clients, managing all stages from initial planning to operational implementation and lead the West Development team, among other responsibilities.

Peachtree Group Promotes Steve Mackenzie

Peachtree Group, Atlanta, announced the promotion of Steve Mackenzie to Executive Vice President of Hotel Operations in its hospitality management division.

He will assume an expanded role overseeing Peachtree’s hotel portfolio financial performance, among other responsibilities.

He has more than 25 years of experience in hospitality, including most recently with Hilton Worldwide.
