Debby Jenkins Joins Greystone

Debby Jenkins has joined Greystone, New York, as an Executive Managing Director.

Jenkins will focus on growing Greystone’s mission-driven strategies, including its Social Impact and Affordable Housing platforms. She will collaborate across teams to develop and execute strategies that promote the creation, financing and preservation of safe and affordable housing that also makes a positive impact on local communities.

Prior to this, she spent almost 15 years at Freddie Mac, most recently serving as Head of the Multifamily platform. She has spent most of her more than three-decade career in the multifamily arena.

NewPoint Real Estate Capital Adds to Production Team

Laurie Morfin

NewPoint Real Estate Capital, Plano, Texas, announced the addition of two multifamily originators in California. Laurie Morfin is now Senior Managing Director and David Bleiweiss is Managing Director for the Originations Team.

Morfin and Bleiweiss will be located in Irvine, Calif.

Morfin has more than 25 years of experience in multifamily and commercial real estate finance, and was previously a Senior Vice President at Bellwether Enterprise. She has also worked with Prudential Mortgage Capital Co. (PGIM Real Estate), Wells Fargo and Nationwide Insurance.

Bleiweiss has more than 35 years of experience in multifamily originations, and joined NewPoint from Berkadia. He has also been with HFF, Home Savings of America and Coast Federal Savings.

Berkadia Expands Knight Frank Alliance by Welcoming Ed Owen to D.C. Office

Berkadia, New York, announced that Knight Frank’s head of International Capital USA Ed Owen will join its D.C. Metro office to help further foster the strategic alliance between Berkadia and Knight Frank.

Owen will be responsible for the pursuit and execution of large capital markets transactions in the U.S., sourcing offshore capital via Knight Frank’s extensive global network. Additionally, he will establish an International Capital desk tasked with managing inbound capital into Berkadia’s network, as well as engaging with U.S.-based investors seeking to deploy capital into the U.K., Europe, the Middle East and Asia Pacific region. 

He has more than 16 years of global experience, and prior to joining Knight Frank, spent four years as Senior Director and Head of New Markets EMEA at WeWork.

JLL Value and Risk Advisory Hires Ken Wood

Ken Wood

JLL, Chicago, via its Value and Risk Advisory platform, has welcomed Ken Wood as a Director in its Los Angeles Office.

Wood was previously with Apprise by Walker & Dunlop, serving as a Senior Director focused on multihousing and affordable housing developments. He has had a nearly 20-year valuation career.

Wood will work with Kai Pan, who leads the national multihousing practice for the group, and Aaron DeCollibus, who leads the West Coast multihousing team, and will focus on multihousing value and risk advisory assignments for institutional clients throughout California, Nevada and the Western U.S.
