State, Local Tax Abatements for Multifamily Real Estate

MBA recently published a list of state and local tax abatement programs that can benefit developers of multifamily housing across the country. Tax abatement programs are used by state or local governments to provide a financial incentive for developers of multifamily rental housing. These often only apply to rents affordable to certain income levels or are developed or rehabilitated in certain areas.
