Avison Young Names Mike MacDonald, Cody Baldwin and Alyssa Wright Principals
Avison Young named Mike MacDonald, Cody Baldwin and Alyssa Wright Principals based in the firm’s Springfield, N.J. office.
MacDonald, Baldwin and Wright join more than 27 principals being honored as part of the Avison Young Principal Class of 2023. They joined Avison Young a year ago with the Studio Eagle acquisition.
MacDonald serves as Senior Director, Pre-Construction for Studio Project Services and has more than 20 years of experience in architecture and construction. He provides leadership and expertise in project management, cost estimating and consulting, quantity surveying, BIM/VDC management, design documentation and construction execution and management, and contract administration.
Baldwin serves as Director, Design for Studio Project Services, and has 15+ years of experience in the field of architecture and design encompassing a wide variety of typologies. With a forward-thinking mindset and expertise in design and code, Baldwin partners with clients to make better-informed decisions, ultimately leading to a space that supports their business and exceeds their expectations.
Wright serves as Director, Construction for Studio Project Services, and has 20 years of experience managing corporate office, pharmaceutical, lab, industrial and manufacturing-related projects.
Merchants Bank of Indiana Hires New Senior Business Development Officer, SBA Lending
Merchants Bank of Indiana, Carmel, Ind., hired Brian Konwar as a Senior Business Development Officer in its Small Business Administration lending division. He will join the Merchants team in Houston, Texas.
Konwar brings nearly 20 years of experience in business banking to Merchants’ SBA lending team. Prior to joining Merchants Bank of Indiana, he worked in a similar role as an SBA business development officer for Wells Fargo in Houston, where he structured and tested business cash flow to assess financial risks associated with borrowers. Before this, he held different positions within the company as an assistant branch manager and business banker.
At Merchants, as a Senior Business Development Officer for the SBA Lending division, Konwar will originate SBA 7(a) and 504 loans as well as crafting strategies to generate new business, amid other responsibilities. He will also leverage his existing network throughout the Houston market and central U.S.
M&T Realty Capital Corporation Appoints Todd Trehubenko Executive Managing Director
M&T Realty Capital Corp., Baltimore, appointed Todd Trehubenko Executive Managing Director in its Boston office. He joins the Agency production team, with a focus on FHA-insured lending, and will be responsible for originating affordable and conventional loans across the United States.
Trehubenko has over 30 years of experience in multifamily financing. He joined M&T RCC from CBRE, where he spent the past eight years as a Vice Chairman on the Debt & Structured Finance team. In that capacity, he financed more than $1.36 billion in apartment loans and became the firm’s all-time leader in FHA originations. Prior to CBRE, he held senior positions at multifamily lenders Walker & Dunlop and CWCapital and was previously CEO of boutique housing consultancy Recap Real Estate Advisors, where he primarily advised multifamily developers.
Trehubenko has been an advocate for affordable and sustainable housing throughout his career. He testified before the U.S. House of Representatives Financial Services Committee, provided consulting expertise to HUD headquarters on housing finance and energy conservation issues and served for many years on a task force advising Fannie Mae on its Green Financing programs.
