CBRE Adds Property Tax Expert in New York City
CBRE said Kristie Moruzzi joined its Valuation & Advisory Services team as Senior Client Account Executive, Property Tax Services.
Moruzzi will serve the greater New York City area and provide property tax consulting services to real estate firms based in the region. She has been responsible for tax programs of diverse national client portfolios comprising $58 billion in market value and $1.3 billion of real and personal property tax during her career. She joins CBRE from Marvin F. Poer and Co., where she has gained extensive experience in the minimization of client tax liability since 2004.
This appointment is part of a strategy by CBRE VAS to expand its Property & Transaction Services team by recruiting the industry’s leading talent. In the last two years, CBRE VAS has recruited 12 property tax experts nationally and today provides consulting services throughout the United States.
JLL Capital Markets Adds Danté Thomas to Affordable Housing Team
JLL Capital Markets hired Danté Thomas as Managing Director of its affordable housing production team in Philadelphia, responsible for optimizing financing from a variety of capital sources, including Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac.
Prior to joining JLL, Thomas served as Vice President of Product Originations for Berkadia Commercial Mortgage for four years, working directly with originators, clients and capital providers to structure transactions geographically dispersed throughout the country. Before that, he served as the Director of Real Estate for the Housing Partnership Equity Trust, which is now majority owned by Lincoln Avenue Capital. He began his career as a senior asset manager and underwriter with Fannie Mae’s multi-housing mortgage business and also worked for the District of Columbia’s Housing Finance Agency as a Senior Development Officer.
Lance Wright Joins Greystone as a Managing Director in Texas
Greystone, New York, hired Lance Wright as a Managing Director in the company’s Dallas office. He will focus on the origination of multifamily and commercial real estate loans across the United States.
Prior to joining Greystone, Wright was a Managing Director at Lightstone Capital Group, where he led the originations efforts across the Central and Southeast Regions. Prior to Lightstone, he opened the Dallas office for ACORE Capital in 2015 and worked there for five years overseeing origination and underwriting efforts for the Central Region, where he closed more than $4 billion of debt volume through 2020.
Prior to ACORE, Wright worked at GE Capital Real Estate/Heller Financial for more than 18 years from 1997 to 2015, holding multiple positions including Regional Director, where he oversaw the origination efforts in the Central U.S.
KeyBank Real Estate Capital Hires Nicholas Hoffer
KeyBank Real Estate Capital named Nicholas Hoffer Senior Mortgage Banker.
Hoffer will be responsible for developing new affordable housing business and relationship management, providing off-balance sheet financing solutions to for-profit and non-profit real estate owners, investors and developers.
Based in Tampa, Hoffer will oversee deals in Alabama, Florida and Mississippi. He has more than 15 years of affordable housing experience.
