Fannie Mae Appoints Priscilla Almodovar Chief Executive Officer
Fannie Mae, Washington, D.C. appointed Priscilla Almodovar its CEO and member of its Board of Directors effective December 5. She has served as President and CEO of Enterprise Community Partners since 2019.
Almodovar will succeed David C. Benson, who has served as Fannie Mae’s Interim CEO and a member of the Board of Directors since May 2022. After her arrival, Benson will continue in his role as President.
Prior to her role at Enterprise Community Partners, Almodovar worked for nearly a decade at JPMorgan Chase and led two of the firm’s national real estate businesses; most recently, as Managing Director, Co-Head of Real Estate Banking where she served national and regional real estate developers, investors, owners and investment funds.
Earlier in her career, Almodovar was President and CEO at New York State Housing Finance Agency, State of New York Mortgage Agency and Affordable Housing Corporation. She started her career at White & Case LLP, where she was named an equity partner.
Access Point Financial Promotes Ankur Shah to CFO
Direct lender Access Point Financial LLC promoted Ankur Shah to CFO and head of capital markets.
Shah previously served as Managing Director and Co-Head of Capital Markets and Corporate Development. As CFO, he will establish, structure and manage capital and industry relationships, overseeing corporate strategy and financial operations. He will also serve on the company’s executive committee from the firm’s McLean, Va. office.
Shah previously worked as finance manager for DiamondRock Hospitality Co., where he was active in more than $1 billion in hotel investments and more than $1 billion of equity and debt financings, and was a Senior Real Estate Analyst with Choice Hotels International.
Bill Grice Appointed CBRE Hotels President
CBRE, Dallas, appointed Bill Grice President for CBRE Hotels in the United States.
Grice will lead CBRE’s hotel business that combines investment sales, finance, valuation, advisory and research into a single fully integrated service offering. CBRE Hotels served as intermediary for $165 billion in engagements and the number one firm for hospitality investment sales activity globally in 2021.
Grice is based in Atlanta and has more than 20 years of hospitality and capital markets experience. He joined CBRE in 2020 and most recently served as Co-Head of Hospitality Capital Markets. He was previously a member of the hotel investment banking team at JLL and prior to that worked in large loan originations at GE Capital Real Estate. He has been involved in over $40 billion of lodging-related recapitalization, financing, and equity placement during his career.
Grice succeeds Kevin Mallory, who will retire at the end of the year after more than 18 years with the firm.
