JLL Hires Alison Flynn Gaffney
JLL, Chicago, hired Alison Flynn Gaffney as Division President, Healthcare, to lead its healthcare business.
With more than 30 years of industry experience, Flynn Gaffney most recently served as the interim Chief Operating Officer with the University of Utah Health, Hospitals & Clinics, where she had executive and financial oversight for all inpatient and ambulatory operations across the more than $3 billion integrated healthcare system. She also spearheaded initiatives to support and enhance patient and stakeholder experience and developed a healthcare system master-planning office, as well as led the hospital and clinics teams in the development of multiple facilities expansions, including co-leading a new, more than one-million-square-foot healthcare and academic campus. When open in 2027, this endeavor will provide an historically marginalized community new access to healthcare, education and professional opportunities.
In her new role, Flynn Gaffney will focus on building a differentiated strategy to gain client and talent mindshare through inclusive thought leadership, new capabilities and ecosystem partnerships; identify new business and expand existing client portfolios; develop and deliver scalable solutions to improve the customer, patient and team experience for JLL clients; and continue to attract, develop, retain and elevate the best and most diverse talent in the industry.
Flynn Gaffney has held senior operational, consulting and strategic executive-level roles within well-known healthcare organizations. As a founding member of Nexera, Inc., a healthcare consulting company specializing in supply chain cost reduction and management services, she oversaw operations, compliance and strategic planning. She also worked for Giuliani Partners, an international management consulting firm, leading their international healthcare practice.
Flynn Gaffney joins JLL on November 28 and will collaborate with Jay Johnson, National Practice Leader, Healthcare Markets, JLL.
Quantum Real Estate Advisors Hires Gary Rosenfield as Senior Vice President
Gary Rosenfield joined Quantum Real Estate Advisors as Senior Vice President. He will focus on advising clients on the acquisition and disposition of investment properties.
Rosenfield joined Quantum after working at Marcus & Millichap and James Capital Advisors since 2016. He brings with him over six years of experience and expertise in advising clients with their acquisition and disposition of net-leased assets. Gary has been involved in over $350 million of commercial real estate transactions. In his new role at Quantum, Gary will work closely with his existing clients and continue building his client-base nationwide, as well as enhance Quantum’s market share in the western portion of the United States.
BWE Expands Presence with New St. Louis Office
Bellwether Enterprise Real Estate Capital LLC said Jeff Chaney and Dan Baker joined the company as Senior Vice Presidents in the firm’s newly founded St. Louis office. Joe Cortese also joined as an Assistant Vice President and Senior Transaction Manager.
Together, Chaney, Baker, and Cortese bring over five decades of experience in commercial real estate financing to BWE.
In his over three-decade real estate finance career, Chaney has placed over $3 billion in permanent loans with life insurance companies, Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac and CMBS as well as various banks and credit unions. In addition to his expertise in securing multifamily, industrial, retail and office deals, Chaney has significant experience financing hotel loans and portfolios. Having most recently served as managing director at NorthMarq Capital, Chaney also worked at Mercantile Bank, Germania Bank, Savings of America and General Bancshares/Boatmen’s Bank prior to joining BWE.
Throughout his career, Baker has fulfilled his clients’ commercial and multifamily property needs by offering financing through life insurance correspondent companies, debt funds, banks, credit unions and other financial institutions. Baker has also worked extensively with clients in other facets of the capital stack, having sourced equity, preferred equity, and mezzanine debt. Over his career, he has been responsible for the origination and underwriting of over $1.25 billion in loans and equity placement. Baker most recently served as Vice President at NorthMarq Capital.
Cortese brings 19 years of experience working in commercial real estate finance to BWE. Prior to joining BWE’s St. Louis office, he worked alongside Chaney at NorthMarq Capital.
