Jeff Erxleben Promoted to President – Debt & Equity
Northmarq, Minneapolis, promoted Jeff Erxleben to President of the company’s debt & equity business.
Erxleben has spent the last four years as Executive Vice President/Executive Managing Director, overseeing the collaboration between the company’s investment sales business and the financing experts in those markets.
As a member of the executive committee, Erxleben also leads Northmarq’s Associate Producer Program, which develops emerging leaders throughout the company. He will continue to advance key client relationships across the company’s growing business lines.
Erxleben’s 20 years of production experience include being one of Northmarq’s top debt & equity advisors and developing deep relationships across all capital sources as an advisor with several major correspondent life companies. He has served as a member of Fannie Mae’s Originator Subcommittee, Freddie Mac’s Seller Servicer Advisory Board, and as past chair of the Mortgage Bankers Association Originator Council.
JLL Capital Markets Hires Angela Kelcher to Head Affordable Housing Debt Production Team
JLL Capital Markets hired Senior Managing Director Angela Kelcher to lead its national affordable housing debt production team.
Kelcher sits in the firm’s Dallas office and reports to Gerard Sansosti, Executive Managing Director and Debt and Loan Sales Platform Leader. Focusing on growing JLL’s affordable housing business, she will provide leadership and oversight to the platform as it expands its staffing, programs and overall value creation in this critical space.
Kelcher joined JLL after 17 years with Fannie Mae, most recently leading a team responsible for strategy and deliveries from Fannie Mae’s nationwide network of lenders. In this role, she has held a multi-year track record of generating record-breaking volumes. Kelcher was recognized by Affordable Housing Finance magazine as an industry catalyst and was named one of AHF’s Young Leaders. She has served on the board of the Central Arlington Housing Development Corporation and as an officer on the board of the North Texas Housing Coalition.
Berkadia Names Damodaram Bashyam EVP, Chief Innovation Officer
Berkadia appointed Damodaram “Damu” Bashyam Executive Vice President and Chief Innovation Officer. He will oversee Berkadia’s Innovation team as Berkadia continues to invest significantly in people and technology.
Bashyam will also be a member of Berkadia’s Management Committee, reporting directly to Berkadia CEO Justin Wheeler.
With more than 25 years of experience in technology and the financial services sector, Bashyam most recently served as Executive Vice President, Chief Information and Digital Officer of Columbia Bank, where he led transformation initiatives including technology strategy, digital banking, data analytics and cyber solutions. Prior to that role, he served as Managing Director and Chief Technology Officer for JP Morgan Chase’s Consumer Banking business and previously held CIO-level leadership positions with Verizon.
