Greystone Appoints Hafize Gaye Erkan CEO
Greystone, New York, appointed Hafize Gaye Erkan its Chief Executive Officer effective immediately. Her executive responsibilities will commence in September.
Erkan will report to Steve Rosenberg, who will continue to serve as the Executive Chairman of the Board.
Erkan most recently served as Co-CEO, President and Board Member at publicly traded First Republic Bank. Prior to joining First Republic, she was the Head of Financial Institutions Group Analytics and Strategies for Goldman Sachs, where she worked for nearly a decade advising financial institution Boards of Directors and executive management teams.
NewPoint Hires Multifamily Originator Henry “Skip” Martinson
NewPoint Real Estate Capital LLC, Plano, Texas, hired Henry “Skip” Martinson as Managing Director of Conventional Originations.
Based in Charlotte, N.C., Martinson will be in the firm’s Agency and Proprietary Lending Platforms, focusing specifically on conventional multifamily and student housing properties.
Martinson has more than two decades of commercial real estate finance and loan originations experience, including executing large-scale transactions for a clientele of regional developers, REITs and institutional investors. Throughout his 15 years at PNC Real Estate, he originated loans for a variety of multifamily property types including conventional multifamily as well as student, affordable and seniors housing, with an initial focus on the Southeast before shifting his scope to the entire Eastern U.S.
Prior to PNC, Martinson originated Agency, conduit and structured finance loans across the Southeast with Arbor Realty Trust. Before Arbor, he was with Wells Fargo’s Real Estate Merchant Banking group working to source and underwrite highly structured bridge and mezzanine loans.
Stacey Shepard Joins CBRE
CBRE, Dallas, announced that Stacey Shepard joined its Infrastructure & Public Enterprise Sector of its Global Workplace Solutions business.
Shepard will lead integrated client solution development for U.S.-based government, quasi-government, government-regulated and government contracting organizations. She brings decades of experience in helping clients achieve measurable gains in resiliency, efficiency, equity and decarbonization efforts.
Based in Washington, D.C., Shepard most recently served as Vice President of Growth & Strategy for JACOBS Federal & Environmental Solutions. She oversaw client management and solutioning to government buildings, infrastructure and environmental portfolios.
Earlier in her career, Shepard held positions at a defense policy think tank and legislative specialist on Capitol Hill. She continues to support industry-focused organizational boards, and remains a passionate advocate for STEAM and diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives globally.
