Freddie Mac Multifamily Names Ian Ouwerkerk SVP of Underwriting and Credit
Freddie Mac Multifamily, McLean, Va., named Ian Ouwerkerk Senior Vice President of Underwriting & Credit.
Ouwerkerk has served as interim Senior Vice President of Underwriting & Credit since first-quarter 2022. He was formerly Vice President of Multifamily Underwriting and served as Senior Director of Underwriting for the Southeastern region before that. He joined Freddie Mac Multifamily in 2008, having previously worked as a commercial real estate broker.
BH Properties Hires John Carl III
John Carl III has joined BH Properties, Los Angeles, as Senior Managing Director. He will head the firm’s value-add acquisitions platform from its Dallas office.
Carl, with more than two decades of principal-based real estate investment experience across multiple product types and markets, will be responsible for leading and expanding the company’s existing acquisitions team and to grow the firm’s real estate portfolio, which includes more than 100 office, multifamily, industrial, retail and ground lease assets in 19 states throughout the country.
Carl joined BH Properties from Dallas-based Marley Park Capital Management, a boutique commercial real estate investment and advisory firm. As founding partner, he was responsible for all aspects of the firm’s performance including investment strategy, deal sourcing, fundraising and asset management.
Matter Real Estate Group Welcomes Kaytlin Knudson as Development Construction Manager
Matter Real Estate Group, Las Vegas, added Kaytlin Knudson as the company’s development construction manager. With nearly a decade of experience in industrial and commercial project management with a strong focus in real estate development, Knudson will be responsible for managing the construction of properties within Matter’s development portfolio including UnCommons, the company’s new $400 million urban campus in southwest Las Vegas.
Knudson previously served as Project Manager at Compass Development in Las Vegas. Her previous development role also included overseeing multiple phases of commercial and mixed-use properties such as Local Bounti and Terrible Herbst as well as overseeing the development a one million-square-foot highly automated distribution in the Netherlands while working with Arrow Electronics.
