JoAnn Neau Joins Northmarq as Chief Marketing Officer
Northmarq hired JoAnn Neau as the company’s first chief marketing officer. Neau joined the firm from Thrivent, where she led digital and marketing operations strategies.
Neau brings more than 25 years of financial services experience leading marketing, communications, branding, digital marketing and customer experience for Fortune 500 financial services organizations. Prior to her time with Thrivent, she held several significant leadership roles with Wells Fargo /Abbot Downing, RBC Wealth Management, U.S. Bancorp and Securian Financial. At Wells Fargo’s Abbot Downing business, she led marketing strategies that drove sales revenue, enhanced the client experience, and increased brand awareness for ultra-high net worth investors. At RBC Wealth Management, she was responsible for leading the marketing and communications strategy for the U.S. wealth management business and headed digital marketing and innovation strategies for the investment businesses globally.
Newmark Promotes Steven Golubchik to Executive Vice Chairman and President, Western Region Capital Markets
Newmark, New York, promoted Steven Golubchik to Executive Vice Chairman and President, Western Region Capital Markets.
Since joining Newmark in 2016, Golubchik has established the firm’s Capital Markets practice as one of the most active real estate investment sales platforms in northern California. The group has expanded to include 32 professionals throughout the region. The firm oversaw the sale of more than $5 billion of institutional-grade office, industrial and life science properties throughout northern California in 2021.
In his expanded role, Golubchik will work closely with Newmark’s Co-Heads of U.S. Capital Markets, Kevin Shannon and Robert Griffin, to further enhance the firm’s market presence throughout the West Coast markets as well as nationally.
Golubchik, who serves on Newmark’s national Capital Markets committee, has closed more than $40 billion in transactions encompassing more than 50 million square feet during his 18-year career.
Grandbridge Real Estate Capital Hires Martin Hansberry to Lead Boston Multifamily Investment Sales Team
Grandbridge Real Estate Capital LLC hired Martin Hansberry as vice president to lead the Boston multifamily investment sales team for greater New England.
Hansberry joins Grandbridge from Hansberry Properties in Wellesley, Mass., where he provided asset and development management, financing, equity raising and sourcing joint venture development partners. He also served as director at Berkadia where he opened the Nashville, Tenn., office. Prior to Berkadia, he was a senior associate at Cushman & Wakefield and established the firm’s first multifamily practice in Tennessee.
JLL Phoenix Capital Markets Office Appoints New Co-Leads
JLL Capital Markets promoted Senior Managing Directors Ben Geelan and Brad Miner to Co-Heads of its Phoenix Capital Markets group.
Geelan and Miner have more than 27 years of combined commercial real estate experience. Geelan will oversee the investment sales advisory platform of the business while Miner will oversee the debt and equity advisory platform.
Geelan focuses primarily on office and industrial sales in Phoenix and the greater Southwest region. He joined JLL in 2019 as part of the HFF merger and has more than ten years of experience in the industry.
Miner has more than 17 years of experience in commercial real estate finance and focuses primarily on originating debt and equity transactions in the Southwest with an emphasis on multifamily housing. He has been involved in various capitalizations through his career, including construction, bridge and conventional debt placements as well as subordinate debt and joint venture equity financings. Miner also joined JLL as part of the HFF acquisition in 2019.
