Creating Access to Commercial Real Estate Capital for Underserved Market Participants June 15

MBA Commercial/Multifamily NewsLink May 20

One of many industry shifts in 2020 included public acknowledgments by many organizations that commercial real estate continues to lag in terms of diversity, equity and inclusion. The Mortgage Bankers Association and the National Association of Real Estate Brokers will facilitate a conversation about an associated challenge — access to capital for commercial real estate operators and developers. This conversation comes on the heels of well-publicized commitments to moving the industry forward from institutions such as Bank of America, JP Morgan and Citi as well as smaller institutions which have announced initiatives totaling billions of dollars that are largely focusing on communities and entrepreneurs of color.
