Merchants Capital Hires Linda Hill as Senior Vice President
Multifamily housing financier Merchants Capital hired Linda Hill as Senior Vice President in the Merchants Capital tax credit equity syndications division.

Based in San Francisco, Hill will co-lead the tax credit equity investor relations and syndications platform at Merchants Capital and manage equity relationships with affordable housing sponsors across the United States.

Hill most recently served as a senior executive within the tax credit group at Aegon Real Assets, where she oversaw the production team responsible for all originations, underwriting and closing in Low-Income Housing Tax Credit investments. As head of the Aegon tax credit production group, she oversaw the production of more than $2 billion in tax credit investments. Prior to her role at Aegon, Hill served as senior vice president of originations at Alliant Capital, a national tax credit syndicator based in Los Angeles.

Mike Watts Joins CBRE to Lead Investor Leasing in The Americas

CBRE, Dallas, announced Mike Watts, a veteran of more than 25 years in commercial real estate, has joined the company as President, Investor Leasing in the Americas.

Based in Chicago, Watts works in partnership with CBRE’s Americas Advisory leadership team to provide leasing services to the company’s investor/landlord clients across all property types, focusing primarily on the office sector. He will coordinate with CBRE’s Property Management, Capital Markets, Project Management and Valuations leaders to serve investor clients in the U.S., Canada and Latin America.

Watts joined CBRE from Transwestern, where he served as President of the Midwest and oversaw the company’s national agency leasing business development platform. He has more than 25 years advising owners and occupiers on their real estate strategies in the Midwest and nationally.

Before joining Transwestern, Watts was with J.F. McKinney and Assocs., where he oversaw the leasing of the 1.5 million-sq.-ft. Hyatt Center development in Chicago and repositioned several high-profile projects in downtown Chicago. Before that, he worked for LaSalle Partners, where he served as the Downtown Regional Leasing Director.

Bellwether Enterprise Appoints Ryan Stoll National Director of Seniors Housing and Care

Bellwether Enterprise Real Estate Capital LLC, Cleveland, hired Ryan Stoll as National Director of Seniors Housing and Care.

Stoll will create a specialized production team and the development and implementation of a growth strategy for Bellwether Enterprise’s seniors housing mortgage lending platform. He will be based in the firm’s Denver office.

Stoll has nearly a decade of experience working in seniors housing finance and has originated $2 billion in seniors housing capital markets transactions throughout his career. Before joining Bellwether Enterprise, Stoll served as the Executive Director of National Senior Living at Fifth Third Bank, where he had primary production responsibility for the launch of the national senior living group. He also previously served as Vice President of Healthcare Real Estate Finance at Commerce Bank, where he originated over $300 million in seniors housing and skilled nursing loans.
