Walker & Dunlop Hires Kelly Mitchell in Bethesda, Md.
Walker & Dunlop hired Kelly Mitchell as Managing Director. She will drive outreach to the firm’s large institutional clients, both foreign and domestic.
Before joining Walker & Dunlop, Mitchell was a Senior Director of Multifamily Structured Transactions with Fannie Mae, where she grew annual production more than 35 percent from 2019 to 2020 and realized a record volume of $11.6 billion in 2020. In this role, she also oversaw new production, developed large-scale training programs for junior originators, implemented product innovations, and was responsible for defining goals and direction for the structured transactions product line. Prior to this, she held other positions within Fannie Mae, largely focused on relationship management and multifamily loan product development.
Mitchell began her career with Deutsche Bank Berkshire Mortgage as an Origination Associate.
JLL Names Tina Ju to its Board of Directors
Jones Lang LaSalle said Tina Ju will serve as an independent, non-executive member of its Board of Directors.
Ju is a Founding, Managing and General Partner of KPCB China and TDF Capital. With more than 30 years of experience in venture capital, investment banking and operations, Ju began her venture capital career in 1999. She co-founded VTDF China in 2000 and KPCB China in 2007. Earlier in her career, Ju spent 10 years in investment banking including at Deutsche Bank as head of TMT and Transport Asia, at Merrill Lynch as head of Asia Technology and the Corporate Finance Team and at Goldman Sachs.
Currently, Ju serves on the boards of various private companies and the public fintech company, Yiren Digital Ltd., which provides Chinese consumers with both credit and wealth management solutions. She is also a member of the Global Leadership Council for Oxford Saïd Business School. Ju earned a bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering and operations research from University of California, Berkeley and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
In addition to Siddharth (Bobby) Mehta, Chairman of the JLL Board of Directors and Christian Ulbrich, JLL CEO, current members of the firm’s board include Hugo Bagué, Matthew Carter, Jr., Samuel A. Di Piazza, Jr., Bridget Macaskill, Deborah H. McAneny, Jeetu Patel, Sheila Penrose and Ann Marie Petach. Ming Lu and Martin H. Nesbitt have stepped down from the board.
Institutional Property Advisors Expands in Austin, Texas
Institutional Property Advisors hired Kent Myers as a Director in Austin, Texas. In this role, he will execute multifamily investment property transactions for institutional and major private clients in partnership with IPA’s Texas-based team led by Will Balthrope.
Myers has 15 years of Texas-based commercial real estate experience. Since 2006, he has closed the sale of 17,500 units throughout Texas and participated in note sales and distressed debt workout opportunities. He began his career with Marcus & Millichap in 2008 and was promoted to Senior Vice President, Investments in 2018.
