Personnel News from PSRS, Marcus & Millichap
PSRS Names Michael Tanner President
Pacific Southwest Realty Services announced Michael Tanner will take over the office of President recently vacated by Daniel Phelan, CMB, CCMS.
Phelan will continue to serve as Chief Executive Officer and will work closely with Tanner through the transition and in his new role as president.
Tanner noted PSRS is a multi-generational company closing in on its 50th year in business. “We are excited to be implementing strategies for another successful 50 years,” he said.
In his new role, Tanner will focus on executing strategies and goals developed with the executive team, including leading new company-wide initiatives.
“Mike Tanner has shown such great drive and leadership since he joined his dad, Scott Tanner, and I in 2003,” Phelan said. “He has developed not only his clients through hard work and service but has also gotten involved in the industry through the Mortgage Bankers Association. Mike has risen through the ranks holding various committee and industry positions, including being a member of COMBOG and has been recognized for his hard work. In October 2020 he was elected to the Board of Governors for the MBA. PSRS is in great hands as we move forward looking to what our future will be.”
Tanner’s career in commercial real estate debt financing spans nearly two decades, joining PSRS in 2003 as an analyst after earning his bachelor’s degree in economics from Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah. Tanner moved into production and was awarded Rookie of the Year by Standard Insurance in 2006.
