Banach Joins Marcus & Millichap Capital Corporation in Manhattan

Marcus & Millichap Capital Corp. announced Erika Banach joined the firm as Vice President, Capital Markets. She will report to Evan Denner, MMCC Executive Vice President and Head of Business.

Banach brings more than 15 years of real estate and international business experience to MMCC. In her new role, she will focus on the expansion of the business as well as on general operational matters. Previously, as director of Extell New York Regional Center and Extell Utah Regional Center, Banach managed the EB-5 business and raised capital for numerous developments.

Muller Named Managing Director of Newly Formed Avistone Hospitality Division

Commercial real estate investment firm Avistone, Denver, named Charlie Muller Managing Director of its newly formed hotel division, Avistone Hospitality.

“With the travel industry facing continued headwinds, a number of owners are opting to divest their properties and portfolios versus riding out the troubled forecast,” said Avistone President Richard Kent. “This creates opportunity for investment firms such as our own. Muller has nearly four decades of hospitality expertise in operations, acquisitions, development, asset management and dispositions. He has completed more than $7.5 billion in transactions, including acquiring 75-plus hotels and developing/redeveloping 19 hotels and has overseen asset management practices for more than 200 hotels and recreational properties. Prior to joining Avistone, he held positions including Senior Vice President of Investments with First Hospitality, Vice President of Development at Omni Hotels & Resorts and Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer for CNL Hotels & Resorts and CNL Lifestyle Properties.
