CBRE, JLL Top 2019 Global CRE Brokers

Real Capital Analytics, New York, named the largest brokerage commercial real estate firms in the world.

CBRE, Los Angeles, was the leading broker globally last year based on sell-side investment sales activity. JLL, Chicago, ranked second and Eastdil Secured third.

CBRE came out on top in three regions, the Americas, Europe and the Middle East-Africa. JLL led the Asia-Pacific region.

RCA said the 25 largest brokerages accounted for 93 percent of commercial real estate transaction activity by dollars. “The top 10 brokers are active across most major property types,” the report said. “Of the rest of the top firms, seven brokerage firms are primarily focused on just one sector.”

Cushman & Wakefield, Chicago, and Newmark Knight Frank, New York, ranked fourth and fifth, respectively.

RCA’s Top Global Investment Brokers 2019 report tracked the sell-side activity of 637 brokerage firms globally with transaction volume exceeding $650 billion last year. The report ranks brokers across the property types for more than a dozen country markets globally.
