Enterprise Community Partners Names Warshaw First Chief Operating Officer
Enterprise Community Partners, Columbia, Md., announced Drew Warshaw will serve as its first Chief Operating Officer. Having managed large enterprises in both government and business, Warshaw brings to Enterprise top credentials in strategy, operations and execution, and a deep background in policy and finance. As COO, Warshaw will oversee the implementation of Enterprise’s forthcoming five-year strategic plan and leverage the full range of Enterprise’s capabilities in support of the organization’s mission.
Warshaw comes to Enterprise from Clearway Energy Group, among the three largest renewable energy companies in the United States. Before Clearway, he helped launch the Renewables division of NRG Energy, Inc., a Fortune 250 company, a division which was later acquired and reorganized as Clearway.
Prior to Clearway, Warshaw served in several public sector roles, first at a policy think tank, then in a gubernatorial administration and, most recently, as chief of staff at The Port Authority of New York & New Jersey, where he helped manage the second-largest transportation agency in the country, with 7,000 employees, a police department, an annual budget of $7 billion and a long-term capital plan of $30 billion. While at The Port Authority, Warshaw was pivotal in the turnaround of the World Trade Center rebuilding, creating a process and roadmap to get the project back on track.
