Personnel News: Bellwether Enterprise Hires Four, NorthMarq Adds Lamontagne, Harrington
Bellwether Enterprise hired executives in Chicago and Grand Rapids, Mich.
Bellwether Enterprise Real Estate Capital LLC, Cleveland, expanded its Midwest presence. In its Chicago office, Bellwether hired Dan Rosenberg as a Senior Vice President and Ryan Morris and Matt Terpstra as Assistant Vice Presidents. The firm hired Cathy Bronkema as a Senior Vice President in Grand Rapids.
Both Rosenberg and Bronkema will originate and place debt and equity structures for development, acquisition and permanent financing nationwide. Rosenberg will develop a full-service commercial mortgage banking office for all asset class properties to complement the firm’s existing work in senior housing, also based in the Chicago office. The Grand Rapids office will continue to provide borrowers with multiple lending products offered by Bellwether and expand its role in affordable housing financing via products offered through Enterprise.
Rosenberg has spent more than 15 years in the Chicago commercial real estate finance industry, originating in excess of $4 billion with all capital source types including life company, commercial mortgage-backed securities, debt funds and the GSEs. He joins Bellwether Enterprise by way of Cohen Financial, having led a team of six professionals and working with clients ranging from middle-market and high net-worth individuals to family offices, real estate investment trusts and fund sponsors.
Bronkema brings more than 25 years of commercial real estate finance experience to Bellwether Enterprise, with a proven track record securing competitive loan structures for all types of commercial real estate assets, including multifamily, retail, office, industrial, hospitality, seniors housing and healthcare. She has originated over $1 billion in deals with a wide range of lenders from the Federal Housing Administration, Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, life insurance companies, CMBS lenders, banks and finance companies. Prior to joining Bellwether Enterprise, Bronkema served as managing director at Cohen Financial for 17 years.
With more than 10 years of experience underwriting and originating deals, Morris joins Bellwether Enterprise from Cohen Financial where he served as vice president in the Chicago office for six and a half years. Prior to his role at Cohen Financial, he was an underwriter at AIG.
Terpstra spent the past nine years being responsible for the underwriting, financial analysis of debt and equity transactions nationwide. He joins Bellwether Enterprise from Cohen Financial, where he most recently served as a vice president in the firm’s Chicago office.
NorthMarq Expands Texas Multifamily Investment Sales in Austin With Lamontagne
NorthMarq, Minneapolis, added Scott Lamontange as Managing Director of Investment Sales in Austin.
Lamontange joined NorthMarq after 18 years of multifamily investment sales, most recently with JLL as Managing Director and previously with Institutional Property Advisors covering central Texas. During this time his transaction volume exceeded $7 billion, with more than 50,000 apartment units sold.
Lamontange worked on several high-profile multifamily sale transactions including:
–Project Catalyst, an infill Austin, class-A, 10 million sq. ft., mixed-use re-development site near downtown Austin.
–The Catherine, a downtown Austin iconic high-rise that garnished the highest per unit price in Texas history.
–Tacara Steiner Ranch, a Class A+ suburban garden asset overlooking Lake Travis in Austin.
–Tribute at the Rim, a San Antonio mid-rise luxury asset that was the city’s largest single transaction in 2019.
Multifamily Debt Specialist Brandon Harrington joins NorthMarq
Brandon Harrington joined NorthMarq as Managing Director of Multifamily Debt and Equity in Phoenix.
Harrington has closed nearly $1 billion in multifamily financing transaction volume in the last two years. For the last two years, Harrington worked for JLL as managing director within its Capital Markets group. Previously, he was Managing Director at Walker & Dunlop and has worked for Cohen Financial.
