NorthMarq Announces Passing of Former President Craig Butchenhart
NorthMarq announced its long-time leader Craig Butchenhart passed away surrounded by family on June 25, 2020. Butchenhart was a leader with Legg Mason Realty in 2003 when NorthMarq acquired the 17-city mortgage banking business on the east coast to complement NorthMarq’s 11-office west and Midwest operation.
Butchenhart officially retired from NorthMarq as President in 2011, but then joined his former NorthMarq colleague Walt D’Alessio for a seven-year stint with CRE advisory firm NorthMarq Advisors. He had a his nearly 50-year career in the industry.
Galusha Joins Brasa Capital Management
Brasa Capital Management, Los Angeles hired Greg Galusha as Managing Director.
During his nearly 30-year career, Galusha has been involved in every aspect of real estate investment management including origination, asset management, lending, workouts, portfolio management and development. He joined Brasa from real estate technology platform PeerStreet, where he served as Head of Commercial Real Estate. Previously, he was partner at Los Angeles-based real estate investment and management firm Kearny Real Estate Company. Galusha also spent ten years as Partner with institutional real estate investment firm PCCP, where he oversaw more than $1 billion of joint venture equity and debt origination on real estate assets throughout the western United States.
