Jenkins Joins Avison Young as Principal
Avison Young, Toronto, appointed Troy Jenkins as Principal and Director of Investment Management. Jenkins is based in Los Angeles and will help expand the firm’s investment platform deeper into the U.S.
M&T Realty Capital Corp. Appoints Childs Managing Director
M&T Realty Capital Corp., Baltimore, appointed Monty Childs Managing Director in a new office in Chicago.
Childs joins the company’s new affordable housing finance platform and will originate affordable housing and multifamily loans across the United States.
Childs has more than 30 years of experience in multifamily and affordable housing finance. He joined M&T Realty Capital Corp. from Freddie Mac Multifamily, where he worked for the past seven years as an Affordable Housing Production Manager. Prior to this, Childs held production and underwriting roles at several GSE lenders.
NorthMarq Hires Conklin in Southeast Florida
NorthMarq, Minneapolis, hired Chris Conklin as Managing Director of Investment Sales. He joined NorthMarq from Walker & Dunlop Investment Sales, where his sales volume exceeded $4 billion over the last 36 months.
Conklin worked for Walker & Dunlop Investment Sales since 2015 when his employer, Engler Financial Group (EFG) was acquired. Before EFG, Conklin was a director at CBRE, Inc. for over 15 years handling corporate real estate transactions for several of the company’s largest institutional clients.
Newmark Knight Frank Promotes Najera
Newmark Knight Frank promoted Edmund Najera of the firm’s San Francisco and Silicon Valley offices to Vice Chairman.
Throughout his 20-year career, Najera has focused on investment sales advisory throughout the Silicon Valley and Peninsula markets and has completed more than $14 billion in transactions.
Najera joined NKF’s Capital Markets group in 2016 as an Executive Managing Director. In partnership with Steven Golubchik, he launched an institutional platform with a primary focus on Silicon Valley and the Peninsula. He executed 16 deals in 2019 with a total transaction value exceeding $2.6 billion.
