Grice Joins CBRE Hotels as Co-Head of Hospitality Capital Markets
CBRE, Los Angeles, announced Bill Grice joined CBRE Hotels as Executive Vice President and Co-Head of Hospitality Capital Markets. Based in the firm’s Atlanta office, he will focus on the origination and placement of debt and equity for hospitality-related transactions.
Grice will take on a leadership role in partnership with Mark Owens, Executive Vice President and Co-Head of Hospitality Capital Markets, to lead the development of the Debt & Structured Finance team for CBRE Hotels. He joined CBRE from JLL, where he spent the past 13 years, most recently as Managing Director and Co-Head of Hotel Investment Banking. Prior to this, he was a Director with GE Capital Real Estate.
Walker & Dunlop Adds Experienced Leader to its Multifamily Small Loans Origination Team
Walker & Dunlop hired Jared Sobel as Managing Director in its New York office. He will play a leading role in the growth of the company’s multifamily small loans group, which provides sustainable and affordable financing solutions for smaller apartment properties. Bringing extensive experience to Walker & Dunlop, Mr. Sobel is an expert in multifamily financing and is responsible for new loan originations nationwide.
Prior to joining Walker & Dunlop, Sobel was an Executive Vice President with the Debt & Structured Finance Group of CBRE’s Capital Markets division. He played a key role in growing the firm’s Freddie Mac Optigo Small Balance Loan platform. Throughout his career, he has underwritten, analyzed, and facilitated commercial real estate transactions in excess of $1 billion and has been engaged on large portfolios and transactions nationwide.
Marcus & Millichap Appoints DeGennaro Chief Financial Officer
Marcus & Millichap appointed Steve DeGennaro Chief Financial Officer effective August 17. He will succeed Marty Louie, Chief Financial Officer since 2010. As previously announced, Louie will remain with the company in the role of Senior Vice President of Corporate Initiatives.
DeGennaro brings more than 25 years of financial and operational experience to the CFO role. He has held leadership positions throughout his career that include strategic planning, finance, capital raising and treasury, along with extensive operating and acquisition experience. Prior to joining Marcus & Millichap, DeGennaro most recently served as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of InTouch Technologies. He began his career at KPMG where he specialized in helping clients prepare and execute IPOs among other accounting and finance responsibilities.
