JLL Hotels Hires Mahl
JLL Hotels & Hospitality hired Michele Mahl as Executive Vice President, focusing on full-service and resort hotel investment sales.
Prior to joining JLL, Mahl was part of Newmark Knight Frank’s lodging capital markets group and on Eastdil Secured’s hotels team.
Mahl has been involved with more than $65 billion in property sales, debt placements and M&A advisory during her career and counts the sale of the Waldorf Astoria New York among her transactions.
Brunet, Lautner Join Newmark Knight Frank Healthcare Group
Newmark Knight Frank, New York, hired seniors housing debt and structured finance originators Heidi Brunet and Lisa Lautner as executive managing directors.
With nearly 40 years of combined experience, Brunet and Lautner have originated more than $8 billion in combined seniors housing-related financings in the last seven years on behalf of some of the nation’s largest and most active industry sponsors.
Brunet and Lautner departed Berkadia.
Institutional Property Advisors Hires Allen, Heikkila
Marcus & Millichap’s Institutional Property Advisors division hired Ray Allen and Seth Heikkila.
Allen will serve as First Vice President and Heikkila will be Vice President of capital markets. Both joined IPA from JLL and will be based in Seattle.
Gemini Rosemont Names Dishell Chief Business Development Officer

Gemini Rosemont Commercial Real Estate, Los Angeles, a real estate investment company with holdings of approximately eight million square feet of commercial office space, appointed Jon Dishell as its Chief Business Development Officer.
Dishell oversees investor relations, corporate marketing, and public relations, and along with the rest of the executive management team, the company’s overall strategy.
Prior to joining Gemini Rosemont, Dishell spent seven years with D.C. area-based American Real Estate Partners as its Managing Director of Fund Management & Investor Relations. He launched and managed the firm’s institutional fund management initiative and was responsible for the firm’s JV and fund investor relations, marketing, and fund reporting. During his tenure, the firm acquired nine million square feet of Class A office and data center assets at a cost of $2.2 billion.
Dishell spent 15 years with Los Angeles REIT Douglas Emmett Inc. as Senior Vice President and Director of Private Equity with responsibility for investor relations and marketing the firm’s 11 discretionary commingled funds which totaled $1.9 billion of equity commitments. Additionally, he was a member of the firm’s investment and management committees, and for much of his DEI tenure was an integral part of the transactional team.
