mPower Moment Conversation with Freddie Mac Multifamily’s Deborah Jenkins

The Mortgage Bankers Association released an mPower Moment interview with Freddie Mac Executive Vice President and Head of Multifamily Deborah Jenkins.

mPower Founder Marcia Davies interviewed Jenkins, a housing finance veteran recently named Executive Vice President and Head of Multifamily at Freddie Mac, McLean, Va. Jenkins discussed her career growth as a woman in management, the traits she believes it takes to be successful, her advice on building confidence and what organizations can do to spur professional development and growth for women in their workforce.

“My style is I think everything should wrap around your work ethic first of all,” Jenkins said. “If you don’t walk the talk, then I think it’s really hard for people to follow you.”

Jenkins also cited the importance of collaboration as a management tool. “We’re so much better as a team than individually,” she noted.
