Bellwether Enterprise Hires Tarter to Head Workforce Housing and Social Impact
Bellwether Enterprise Real Estate Capital LLC, Cleveland, created a Workforce Housing and Social Impact team and hired four new staffers in Dallas. Anthony Tarter will head the team, joined by Assistant Vice President Drew Oden.

Tarter will be responsible for direct loan originations through Bellwether’s various debt and equity programs, including Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, FHA, CMBS, and life insurance company investors. He brings more than 17 years of experience in the real estate finance industry. Prior to joining Bellwether Enterprise, he was a Principal at PGIM Real Estate Finance, where he helped the company originate workforce housing deals.

Tarter also served as vice president of multifamily loan production at Arbor Commercial Mortgage and earlier in his career worked at PNC Real Estate and its predecessor ARCS Commercial. He has originated more than $5 billion in multifamily loans during his career; as an underwriter, he assisted in closing multifamily loans totaling more than $15 billion.

Oden has 8 years of multifamily experience as a direct agency lender and advisor for equity placement.

Lam Joins Greystone as Chief of Credit for Freddie Mac Small Balance Loans Platform
Greystone, New York, hired Jerry Lam as Chief of Credit for its Freddie Mac Small Balance Loans platform. As a top three lender for Freddie Mac small balance loan transactions, Greystone consistently originates over $1 billion in loans for this category, which includes financing for multifamily properties between five and 50 units and loans from $1 million up to $7.5 million.

Lam joined Greystone from Freddie Mac, where he most recently served as Director of Credit for its small-balance lending platform and a senior member of the credit team. Prior to his tenure at Freddie Mac, he held a variety of production and underwriting roles at companies including Barings Capital, Capital One Bank (formerly Beech Street Capital), PNC Bank and Highridge Costa Housing Partners. He will work from Greystone’s Newport Beach, Calif.

Hudson Pacific Properties Opens Vancouver Office, Hires Chuck We to Lead Operations in Western Canada
Hudson Pacific Properties, Los Angeles, opened a new office in Vancouver, B.C., and named Chuck We as Senior Vice President for Western Canada.

We previously led Vancouver operations and leasing and was involved in acquisitions and development for Oxford Properties Group, the real estate investment arm of OMERS, one of Canada’s largest pension plans. He will now oversee Hudson Pacific’s expansion into the Vancouver market, including renovation of the 1.45 million-square-foot Bentall Centre office and retail complex.

Prior to Oxford Properties Group, We held real estate management positions at Bentall Properties, Royal LePage Commercial and BCI.

Hudson Pacific also hired David Haugen as Leasing Director in Vancouver. His experience includes overseeing leasing for large office and industrial portfolios for Canderel, Bentall Kennedy and the Canadian government’s real estate division.
