MBA Promotes Lisa Haynes to Senior Vice President, CFO and Chief Diversity/Inclusion Officer
The Mortgage Bankers Association announced promotion of Lisa J. Haynes to Senior Vice President, Chief Financial Officer and Chief Diversity and Inclusion Officer.
Haynes joined MBA in October 2014 as Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, leading the Accounting and Finance team. She is responsible for collecting, maintaining and reporting accurate financial information on behalf of MBA as well as overseeing the association’s current financial structure.
In 2018, Haynes added the role of Chief Diversity and Inclusion Officer and led development of MBA’s internal and external diversity and inclusion strategy. She also leads and chairs eMBRACE, MBA’s internal culture of inclusion commitment; and oversees the association’s member-facing Diversity and Inclusion Advisory Council.
“Lisa is a key member of MBA’s Senior Management Team, and our association is stronger because of her strategic thinking, expertise, and experience,” said MBA President and CEO Robert Broeksmit, CMB. “Not only has she ensured MBA’s financial future will remain strong, but she has led our association’s effort to promote diversity and inclusion both within MBA itself and in the real estate finance industry at large.”
Prior to joining MBA, Haynes worked for Fannie Mae and served in several capacities, including Vice President of Financial Planning & Analysis, Vice President for Finance Transformation and Vice President for Operational Accounting, where she led a team of 45 professionals responsible for management of single- and multifamily loans worth nearly $3 trillion.
Haynes holds a Master of Business Administration from the Boston University Graduate School of Management and a Bachelor of Science in accounting from Bentley College, and is certified as a public accountant in Virginia.
