Newmark Knight Frank hired Michael Dwyer as Associate Director of Management Services based in Minneapolis.
Dwyer has 35 years of experience in commercial real estate. He will manage NKF Minneapolis’ property management operations and staff. His previous experience includes stints at NorthMarq Real Estate Services and Cushman and Wakefield.
Dow Hotel Co. Promotes Griffin and King
The Dow Hotel Co., Seattle, promoted Steve Griffin to Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer and Randall King to Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer.
Griffin most recently served as Senior Vice President of Finance where he focused on risk management and cost control strategies. In his new role, in addition to his existing financial responsibilities, Griffin also will provide oversight for the human resources function. Prior to joining The Dow Hotel Company, he was Chief Financial Officer for WineBid.com, the largest online wine auction house in the world.
King formerly was Senior Vice President in charge of Dow Hotel Co. operations, driving performance and partner relations. As his role expands, he has been given responsibility for the company’s Food & Beverage concept expansion. He joined DHC in 2001 as the general manager for the Embassy Suites O’Hare and has held progressively more important positions with the company throughout his tenure.
Rockwood Capital adds McCann and Kim to Capital and Client Strategies Team
Private real estate investment firm Rockwood Capital added two senior professionals to its Capital and Client Strategies team: Managing Director Tara McCann and Director Injong Kim. Both will be based in Rockwood’s New York City office.
McCann will manage Rockwood’s client relations and fundraising initiatives on a global basis and will sit on the firm’s Investment Strategy Committee. Kim will focus on client relations and fundraising in Asia. Both be responsible for developing and executing capital strategies and investment products for domestic and international investors.
McCann has more than 20 years of experience in real estate finance. Prior to joining Rockwood she held senior roles in strategy development, investor relations, acquisitions and investment banking. Most recently she was a Managing Director at USAA Real Estate where she led strategy development and capital raising for the firm’s affiliate, Square Mile Capital.
Kim has more than 11 years of experience in real estate finance. Prior to joining Rockwood, he was a Senior Portfolio Manager for the National Pension Service of the Republic of Korea, where he focused on global real estate investments and portfolio management. His responsibilities at NPS included direct investments, fund investments, joint ventures, co-investments and other private portfolio equity.
