NorthMarq Promotes Smith

Smith Promoted to Managing Director of NorthMarq’s Washington D.C. Office
NorthMarq promoted Jason Smith to Managing Director of its Washington, D.C. office.

In his new role Smith will co-manage the office’s daily operations with Managing Directors Kenneth Gentzel and Gary McGlynn.

Smith joined NorthMarq in 2003 and has originated more than $4 billion in debt and equity in the last five years. Prior to joining NorthMarq, he worked with the Pension Fund Advisory Group of Legg Mason Real Estate Services.

Marcus & Millichap Names Luchs Regional Manager in California
Marcus & Millichap named Matthew Luchs regional manager of the firm’s Ontario, Calif. office. Prior to his appointment as regional manager, Luchs served as the sales manager of Marcus & Millichap’s Encino, Calif., office. He began his career with the firm in September 2014 as an agent specializing in multifamily property investments in Encino.

Prior to working with Marcus & Millichap, Luchs was with NAI Capital Commercial in Los Angeles County.

Hunt Real Estate Capital Hires Stevens as Director
Hunt Real Estate Capital, New York, hired Sloan Stevens as a Director.

In his new role, Stevens will close Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac small balance multifamily loans nationwide. He is based in Birmingham, Ala.

Prior to joining Hunt, Stevens was a Vice President and Senior Portfolio Manager in the Special Assets Group at Cadence Bank. Earlier in his career, he held the position of Independent Consultant/Investment Strategist at Griffin Group Consulting and Associate Broker at Southspace Properties.
